Scholarly Chess has promoted the creation of chess clubs at nearby schools and has already led to 2 new school chess clubs in Marietta, Georgia.
Scholarly Chess donates all of its revenue from its events to different Non-Profit Organizations in order to fulfill Scholarly Chess's mission.
Walton High School Chess Club
Through Scholarly Chess, Walton High School's Chess Club was opened to their 2800 student population in August 2018. With around 20-25 members, the Walton Chess club regularly meets every week and spreads the joy of chess to numberous students every week.
Wheeler High School Chess Club
Wheeler High School, located in Marietta Georgia, opened its chess club to their 2100 student population in October 2018. With the help of Scholarly Chess, Wheeler's Chess Club has now expanded to comprise of around 25 active members each week.
Kasparov Chess Foundation
The Kasparov Chess Foundation is a nonprofit founded by Former World Chess Champion Garry Kasparov. "KCF’s mission is to bring the many educational benefits of chess to children worldwide by providing a complete chess curriculum and enrichment programs."
Hands on Atlanta
Hands on Atlanta is a nonprofit founded in 1989 to serve the Atlanta community by "igniting a passion for service and creating lifelong community volunteers."
